Welcome to A desrt Wiki at adesrt.wiki — a fan-made knowledge base for A desrt, the Roblox survival sandbox from DarkCodes Studio that draws inspiration from road-trip classics like The Long Drive. Since the experience launched in March 2025, thousands of players have learned to wrench starter cars, haul fuel across empty highways, and fight off zombies at dusk. This homepage routes you to every major topic so you spend less time guessing and more time driving.
What Is A desrt?
You begin in a garage with a incomplete car and scattered parts. Search the house and basement, drag components into place, fill gas/oil/radiator water, weld damaged panels, and press R to pray the engine catches. The desert outside promises loot, danger, and freedom — if your maintenance keeps up. Multiplayer convoys, moped scouts, and rare engine swaps give the loop depth long after your first successful start.
Start Here — Guides
New survivors should open the Guides hub and read the Beginner Guide first. Follow with Fix Your Car for part locations, Looting Guide for route safety, and Zombie Survival before night runs. Vehicle veterans dive into Vehicle Maintenance, Moped Guide, and Multiplayer Tips when coordinating crews on the official Discord (~35,000 members).
Codes & Controls
Promo codes change with events — track them in the Codes section, starting with Active Codes and How to Redeem. At time of writing there are no live codes, but expired lists prevent wasted clicks. Master every binding in Controls: WASD drive, F pick up, LMB drag, RMB push, Z weld, R start engine, E sit, Space jump, Q zoom. Subpages cover PC Controls, Driving, Weld & Repair, and Sandbox Mode for practice without pressure.
Build, Vehicles & Items
Assembly depth separates short runs from legendary road trips. The Build hub walks through Starter Car layouts, Engine Upgrades, Fluids & Fuel, and Welding Repairs. Pick the right chassis in Vehicles — compare Car, Van, Moped, Bus, and read Maintenance schedules. Loot knowledge lives in Items: Fuel & Fluids, Weapons, Tools, and Game Passes.
Tier Lists, Updates & Tools
Community rankings in Tier List help you prioritize Engines, Vehicles, and Weapons after patches. Stay current via Updates — especially Latest Updates, Discord & Community, and Trello & Roadmap (note: no official Trello exists; Winter Update discussion lives there). Crunch numbers with Tools: Engine Comparison, Fuel Reference, and Starter Checklist for tick-box progression.
Engines & Fluids at a Glance
Starter garages usually hide a VAZ engine, radiator, battery, hood, doors, seats, headlights, and exhaust — many tucked in the house or basement off the right side. Fluids matter equally: gas powers combustion, oil protects moving parts, radiator water stops overheating on long pulls. Moped builds use roughly 8.1 gas plus 0.5 oil. Endgame players hunt Injection, Electric, EngineD/V8 diesel, and rare Turbine swaps — each with different fuel appetite detailed in our comparison tables.
